Northeast Texas Community College is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to a new survey by The Great Colleges to Work For® program.
The results, recently released in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on a nation-wide survey of colleges and universities. In all, only 79 institutions of higher education across the country achieved the “Great College to Work Forâ€ designation in recognition for specific best practices and policies. Results are reported for small, medium, and large institutions, with 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ included among the medium colleges and universities with 3,000 to 9,999 students.
91¹û¶³´«Ã½ won honors in two categories this year: Confidence in Senior Leadership and Compensation and Benefits.
“91¹û¶³´«Ã½ is a very special place to work. Our college employees are uniquely committed to the college mission empowering students to succeed. They strongly believe in what they do and have a passion for their work. This makes all the difference in maintaining a vibrant workplace environment and, I believe, is the secret ingredient that makes us all feel like a team, working together to accomplish great things for our students,â€ said Dr. Ron Clinton, 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ President.
The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institution questionnaire that captured employment data and workplace policies from each institution, and a survey administered to faculty, administrators, and professional support staff. The primary factor in deciding whether an institution received recognition was the employee feedback.
