Beginning with the 2026–2027 academic year, federal law requires colleges to determine Federal Direct Loan eligibility based on a student's enrollment level.
Beginning with the Fall 2026 semester:
Federal Direct Loans are low-interest loans provided by the U.S. Department of Education to help eligible students pay for educational expenses. Unlike grants and scholarships, student loans must be repaid with interest.
To be considered for a Federal Direct Loan, you must:
Financial aid displacement happens when a student’s aid is reduced or otherwise adjusted because the student received funding from an outside organization or for other reasons listed below. This practice is permitted in Texas and may change eligibility or award amounts. 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ offers guidance to help students maximize financial aid and prepare if financial aid displacement occurs. Students may contact the financial aid office for help understanding changes and ways to reduce the chance of displacement.
The due date is the First Class Day of the Fall Semester
This scholarship is exclusively for 2025 Daingerfield High School graduates thanks to the generosity of a privately funded grant.
The scholarship will cover in-district resident tuition and fees for up to 15 hours per semester for ALL 2025 Daingerfield High School graduates attending 91¹û¶³´«Ã½ in the fall semester of 2025.
Example based on 2024-25 tuition and fees: Total resident tuition and fees for a student taking 15 hours is $1,859.00.
