The 91������ý Agriculture Department held a Harvest Local Workshop and Tour on Wednesday, Nov. 29th. Students from the Small Farming course served as guides and instructors to teach visitors about a variety of topics relevant to small farming in East Texas. This served as their final project for the fall semester.

The 91������ý Art Department hosted a reception on Wednesday, Nov. 30th to celebrate local quilters who displayed their work in this year's quilt exhibit in the Whatley Center foyer. For the seventh year, quilters brought their treasured art to share with the community. Each year, the Northeast Texas Community College Foundation awards more than 150 scholarships to help students achieve their educational goals. The funds for these scholarships come from generous individuals, companies, foundations, civic organizations, etc. Scholarships are competitive and awarded based on a variety of criteria including a personal essay. 

The Northeast Texas Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular November meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 21st at 5:30 p.m.

The trailer for the coming 91������ý spring film on the Traveling Preachers of Early Texas is now in the public domain. It features several honors students in key roles, the cinematic artistry of Camp-County-born Allen Herald, and his associate, Hannah Goldblum, and a startling original composition by composer, Kenny Goodson of Hughes Springs.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation held its 2023 Scholarship Brunch on Friday, Nov. 3rd in the Student Union Building. The annual event is an opportunity to celebrate both scholarship donors and student recipients. 

Northeast Texas Community College (91������ý), in partnership with Texas A&M University-Commerce, recently sponsored an educational and cultural trip to New York and Boston for five exceptional students from their Social Work/Sociology program. This journey provided an opportunity for practical learning and a chance to contribute to critical social causes. 

Northeast Texas Community College will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 22rd through Friday, Nov. 24th for the Thanksgiving holiday. We hope everyone has a wonderful break spending time with friends and family.

From November 7th through November 9th, Phi Theta Kappa partnered with Social Work to celebrate First-Generation students, faculty, and staff members at 91������ý. Each day during the activity period, Alpha Mu Chi President Monserrat Rivero Sanchez facilitated a workshop in SUB 101 that featured critical skills and aspects to benefit first-generation students. Tuesday’s workshop was titled, “Resume Writing, Scholarships, and Interview Tips.”
